To €85,000 DOE + Benefits Our client, a leading construction and engineering contractor, operating and delivering excellence all over Europe, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project EHS Lead. As Project EHS Lead you will ensure compliance with local, national, and company-specific EHS standards, proactively identifying risks and promoting a culture of safety across the project team. Key Responsibilities & Requirements: Establish, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Knowledgeable in updated EHS issues, trends and develop strategies to address them proactively. Observe & evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs through audits, inspections, and performance metrics. Lead and support EHS workers ensuring that EHS initiatives are effectively shared and implemented in the organisation. Implement measures to prevent incidents, including risk assessments and job safety analysis. Investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future incidents. Provide EHS training to project personnel, including employees, subcontractors, and visitors, on-site safety procedures, emergency protocols, and environmental management. Maintain detailed and accurate records of EHS activities, including training logs, incident reports, inspections, and audits ensuring timely submission of required EHS reports to regulatory bodies and senior management. Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure their adherence to project EHS requirements, providing guidance and support where necessary. Level 7 in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science or related field. 8+ years’ experience in EHS Lead role within construction and strong background in pharmaceutical projects. Mechanical background in the construction sector is beneficial. Proficiency in EHS software and tools. Knowledge of updated EHS regulations & standards. Effective communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
